newyorksfinest. Lemonworld verse. ]
[ His roommate's kind of weird, that's all Bucky really lets filter through his brain before he's letting his door swing closed behind him and heading out in to the hall. The college isn't what he was expecting, but that's okay, because he doesn't really tend to over-think things before doing them. Steve does, and he was the one with all the check lists and the plans, the one who beat down Bucky for months until they both were prepared and tipping over the edge into adulthood. A new city for them to explore and a fresh load of new faces, people who don't know them for the two impossibly intertwined orphans that they are. It feels good, Bucky feels good.
He tips a nod to a girl passing him, fairly certain she's checking him out whenever he turns the corner, but it's not like that's going to be much of his concern now. Steve's room is at the end of the hall, the door propped open with a box. He doesn't see his friend's roommate anywhere, so Bucky merely saunters in, knows which room is Steve's from the pictures on the wall. His sneakers get kicked under the desk, Bucky immediately taking up residence on the bed, back against the wall.
There's a can of soda on the nightstand and he doesn't even think about not liberating that for his own nefarious purposes, setting in to wait. ]

Oh come on, they sound fun. Besides, we can't all be in touch with our feelings, one of us has got to learn about explosions and violence and I guess it'd be me.

You think I'm in touch with my feelings? [ He shuffles up further in an attempt to get more comfortable, rests his chin on Bucky's now bent knees after manipulating them that way. ] The second world war did always sound interesting, I guess.

[ He doesn’t move his knees, just slouches back a little, t-shirt riding up a little, and this is the first time it’s been just them alone in a while. The orphanage is busy, and their only other hiding places are all out in the public. It feels - nice -, is all he can think, right. ] You all sorted?

[ His gaze lowers, catching sight of the exposed stretch of skin, and he wants to reach out and touch, but he's not sure he should get too comfortable too soon. ] Got all but one of the classes I wanted sorted, but I've signed up for a creative writing to fill in the gap.

[ Humming, Bucky stretches further, something in his back giving a pop before he resettles. ] Y'gonna write your own stories?
no subject
He makes a face at the pop, grossed out. ] Thought about it. But it's good alongside the art, it'll keep my writing skills warm for when I start my comic.

[ Resting his hands on his stomach. ] We should go out tonight.

[ He drums gently on his legs. ] You been inviting to parties already?

[ He looks thoughtful for a long moment, as though deliberating between two things. Then he simply moves, shimmies further down the bed so that he's on his side, staring at Steve. Arm under his cheek, Bucky smiles. ] Hey.
